Ukraine sees retail trade grow by 7.3% in H1

Retail trade in Ukraine grew by 7.3% in January-June 2017 (H1) year-over-year (y-o-y), according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service's website.

Retail turnover increased most in Zakarpattia, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Sumy, and Lviv regions – by 20.9%, 16.9%, 13.8%, 10.2%, and 9.2%, respectively.

Retail trade in June 2017 alone fell by 1.9% against May 2017, while it rose by 9.0% y-o-y.

As UNIAN reported earlier, retail trade in Ukraine increased by 7.1% in January-May 2017 y-o-y (in comparable prices), to UAH 298.043 billion, or US$11.5 billion.

In 2016, retail trade in Ukraine rose by 3.7% from 2015 (in comparable prices), to UAH 1.159 trillion, or $44.7 billion, according to the State Statistics Service.
