Ukraine estimates retail trade in H1 at $14 bln

Retail trade in Ukraine grew by 7.3% in January-June 2017 (H1) year-over-year (y-o-y) in comparable prices, to UAH 362.596 billion, or US$14 billion, according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service's website.

The service did not provide statistics in monetary terms before.

Retail turnover increased most in Zakarpattia region (by 20.9%, to UAH 6.86 billion), Vinnytsia region (by 16.9%, to UAH 8.24 billion), Odesa region (by 13.8%, to UAH 27.8 billion), Sumy region (by 10.2%, to UAH 7.16 billion), and Lviv region (by 9.2%, to UAH 22.49 billion).

The growth of retail trade in January-June 2017 slowed most in Volyn region (by 10.3%, to UAH 6.8 billion).

As UNIAN reported earlier, retail trade in Ukraine increased by 7.1% in January-May 2017 y-o-y (in comparable prices), to UAH 298.043 billion, or $11.5 billion.

In 2016, retail trade in Ukraine rose by 3.7% from 2015 (in comparable prices), to UAH 1.159 trillion, or $44.7 billion, according to the State Statistics Service.
