Ukraine sees 3.8% increase in industrial production in June

Industrial production in Ukraine in June 2017 not adjusted for the calendar effect grew by 3.8% year-over-year (y-o-y) against 1.2% in May 2017 from May 2016, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Adjusted for the calendar effect, industrial production growth accelerated to 3.3% in June 2017 from June 2016 after 0% in May 2017 from May 2016.

Industrial production in June 2017 from May 2017 was 0.1% up if not adjusted for the seasonal effect and 0.5% up if adjusted.

From January to June 2017, industrial production slid by 0.4% year-over-year, it said.

Production of computing devices, electronic and optical components also demonstrated the highest growth in June from May 2017, by more than twice.

The statistical data does not include reports from annexed Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as occupied areas in eastern Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, industrial production in Ukraine in May 2017 not adjusted for the calendar effect was 1.2% up after a three-month decline.

Ukraine saw a 2.4% increase in industrial production in 2016 from 2015, after a four-year decline 2012 through 2015.
