One of the largest Ukrainian telecoms operators, Ukrtelecom, increased twofold its net profit in January-June 2017 (H1) year-over-year (y-o-y), to UAH 355.3 million, or US$13.8 million, according to a company announcement in the National Securities and Stock Market Commission's information disclosure system.
The company's revenue over the period under review remained practically the same y-o-y, having shrunk by 1.5% from UAH 3.202 billion ($124 million) to UAH 3.154 billion ($122 million), the report said.
Ukrtelecom's gross profit grew by 18% in H1 2017, to UAH 1.35 billion, or $52.2 million.

Ukrtelecom is Ukraine's largest landline service provider. Its clientele is almost 8 million subscribers. It also provides high-speed Internet access to over 1.6 million customers.
