"We can create joint metallurgical and engineering enterprises, R&D centers in Ukraine, which will combine Korean experience of high technologies and Ukrainian engineers' work; [we can] build engines under space projects and launch Ukrainian space vehicles," Kubiv said at the Ukraine-Korea International Economic Forum in Kyiv.

Ukraine has significant engineering potential for the implementation of large-scale projects, he said.

"Our engineering base is strongest in Central and Eastern Europe, as there are about 100 R&D centers of international high-tech companies. Among them is unfortunately only one opened by a Korean company, Samsung. Therefore each new project for education, science and innovation is an important step to merge the interests of business and science," Kubiv said.
