The National Bank of Ukraine on Monday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by six kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 25.85 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for August 1:
$100 costs UAH 2,585.4789 (on July 31, it was UAH 2,591.5589);
EUR 100 costs UAH 3,031.9911 (on July 31, it was UAH 3,039.6394);
10 RUB costs UAH 4.3046 (on July 31, it was UAH 4.3524).

Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 30.31/30.34 while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4342/0.4349.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 25.8548 to the dollar, with 502 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $325.78 million.
