State-run Oschadbank reports 21.7% profit increase in 1H

The profit of one of the largest Ukrainian state-owned banks Oschadbank increased by 21.7% in the first half of 2017 (1H), to UAH 306 million, or US$11.8 million, according to the bank's website.

Oschadbank's assets grew by 4.6%, or UAH 9.6 billion ($371 million), to UAH 220.3 billion ($8.5 billion). Its credit and investment portfolio increased by 3.9%, or UAH 5.6 billion ($217 million), to UAH 149.2 billion ($5.8 billion), while net worth totaled UAH 25.9 billion ($1 billion), the report said.

The financial institution in 2015 received UAH 468.17 million ($18.1 million) in net profit against a loss of UAH 12.3 billion ($476 million) in 2014.
