"Today there are about ten institutions with problem bank status. However, we cannot disclose their names," she said in an interview with the Minfin financial news portal.

She also refused to forecast how many banks could be found insolvent due to their failure to meet the requirement of raising their charter capital to UAH 200 million, or US$7.7 million.

"We would like none of the banks to be transferred to the DGF, and we have been monitoring the situation. Yet, it would be incorrect on our part to give forecasts and disclose figures," she said.
