Financial decentralization: local coffers replenished by UAH 103 bln since year-start

In January-July 2017, the total fund of local budgets received UAH 102.8 billion, according to Hennady Zubko, Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of regional development, construction, housing and communal services.

"Financial #decentralization keeps up its pace. Local budgets in January-July grew by UAH 24.9 billion compared to the same period last year. In January-July, the total fund of local budgets received UAH 102.8 billion," Zubko wrote on Facebook.

Also according to the vice PM, "in seven months of this year, the budgets of 366 separate territorial communities reached UAH 4.7 billion. The increase in revenues to the general fund of the STC budget against January-July last year amounted to 39.8% or + UAH 1.3 billion."

The revenues of the state budget for the said period amounted to UAH 325.773 billion, expenditures – to UAH 394.906 billion. The consolidated budget of Ukraine in January-June 2017 was executed with a surplus of UAH 52.145 billion versus UAH 11.280 billion in deficit for the same period in 2016. The deficit of the state budget of Ukraine in 2016 amounted to UAH 70.130 billion, or 2.9% of GDP.
