Ukraine's exports of ferrous metals total $4.7 bln in 7 months

Ukrainian steelmakers in January-July 2017 exported ferrous metals worth US$4.749 billion, with their share in the country's exports at 19.91%, according to the State Fiscal Service (SFS).

Exports of metal products totaled $476.9 million, accounting for 2% of the country's total exports, the SFS said.

Ukraine shipped abroad ferrous metals worth $667.7 million in July 2017 alone, while metal products exports totaled $75.5 million.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine reduced revenue from ferrous metals exports by 10.3% in 2016, to $7.3 billion. At the same time, the foreign exchange earnings from metal products exports fell by 24.8%, to $689.8 million.
