Antonov plans to produce 70 aircraft within 5 years

The marketing plan of Ukraine's state-owned enterprise Antonov provides for the production of at least 70 aircraft within the next five years, according to the state-run Ukroboronprom Concern's press service.

"A clear marketing plan has been created for SE Antonov, which is based on the assessment of specialists, forecasts of independent experts and leading companies, taking into account the prospective markets and potential of each product range, as well as the entire array of current arrangements with partners," the report says.

In particular, the capacity of the world market of medium-sized transport aircraft is estimated at 900 aircraft for the next 15 years, according to the marketing plan.

"Therefore, SE Antonov plans to deliver 20 An-178 aircraft within five years to customers in the CIS countries, Asia, Africa, and Turkey," Ukroboronprom said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the net profit of the state aircraft building concern Antonov, which is part of the state-run holding Ukroboronprom, amounted to UAH 22.7 million, or US$883,268, in January-June 2017.
