The National Bank of Ukraine on Wednesday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by two kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 25.57 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for August 17:
$100 costs UAH 2,557.2720 (on August 16, it was UAH 2,559.8280);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,994.5655 (on August 16, it was UAH 3,006.2620);
10 RUB costs UAH 4.2870 (on August 16, it was UAH 4.2716).

Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 29.89/29.91 while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.42/0.43.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 25.5727 to the dollar, with 638 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $494.28 million.
