Naftogaz dismisses Supervisory Board independent member

The national oil and gas holding Naftogaz of Ukraine has terminated the powers of an independent member of its Supervisory Board Charles Proctor, according to Liga.net.

Proctor's powers expire on September 30. The reason for the dismissal is not disclosed. However, it was the Supervisory Board that made the decision, as it is authorized to dismiss its member only on his or her own application, Liga.net reports.

Today, the Naftogaz Supervisory Board consists of three persons, namely Marcus Richards, Paul Warwick (chairman), and former Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn, although there should be five members, according to the company's charter.
