Ukraine sees retail trade grow by 8% in 7 months

Retail trade in Ukraine grew by 8% in January-July 2017 year-over-year (y-o-y), according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service's website.

Retail turnover increased most in Zakarpattia, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, and Lviv regions – by 21%, 17.7%, 12.8%, 10.8%, 10.6%, 9.5% and 9.5%, respectively.

However, the service has not disclosed absolute values.

As UNIAN reported earlier, retail trade in Ukraine increased by 7.3% in January-June 2017 y-o-y in comparable prices, to UAH 362.596 billion, or US$14 billion.

In 2016, retail trade in Ukraine rose by 3.7% from 2015 (in comparable prices) to UAH 1.159 trillion, or $45.6 billion, according to the State Statistics Service.
