Cabinet limits remuneration to enforcement officials following scandal with salaries

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the procedure for paying and the size of remuneration to the state executive officers, according to an UNIAN correspondent reporting from a government meeting Wednesday.

Ukrainian Deputy Justice Minister Serhiy Petukhov said that it was decided to limit the maximum amount of payments to state executive officers at 200 subsistence minimums set for able-bodied individuals.

At the same time, it happened so that certain state enforcement officers who had completed the major part of executive proceedings received remunerations that were too high," he said, explaining the government's move.

As UNIAN reported earlier, journalists got hold of an internal financial document of the Ministry of Justice, indicating overly high salaries of the leadership of the Department of the State Executive Service of Ukraine.
