Ukrainian farmers since the beginning of the 2017-2018 marketing year (MY, July 2017 - June 2018) as of August 23 exported 5.043 million tonnes of grains, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported.
In particular, Ukraine has exported 2.37 million tonnes of wheat, 1.62 million tonnes of barley and 1.043 million tonnes of corn.
In addition, during the reporting period, agrarians exported to foreign markets 39,400 tonnes of flour, of which 39,300 tonnes was wheat flour and 100 tonnes were other types of flour.

At the same time, revenues from grain exports increased by 6%, to $6.4 billion. The previous record of grain exports in Ukraine was reported in 2015-2016 MY at 39.4 million tonnes.
According to the State Statistics Service, in 2016 Ukraine collected 65.95 million tonnes of grains and legumes, which is 9.7% more than in 2015, and is a record for the country during the years of independence.
