VVER-1000 Power Unit 4 at Rivne nuclear power plant was disconnected from the grid on August 25, as reported by the press service of the National Nuclear Energy Generating Company.
The shut-off was launched by the power generator’s automatic protection system.
The event was qualified as "below scale / level 0," according to the INES (international nuclear events scale).
"Radiation, fire safety, and environmental condition at Rivne NPP and the adjoining territory has not changed and remains within the allowed limits. The search for and elimination of the causes of this incident are underway," the company said.

No violations of the limits and conditions of safe operation were allowed.
