NACP says Poroshenko's e-declaration for 2015, 2016 accurate

Ukraine's National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has confirmed that information in Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko's e-declarations for 2015 and 2016 is accurate.

"As a result of the checks, NACP's authorized officials have determined filings for 2015 and 2016 are accurate. The accuracy of the evaluation of the declared assets corresponds to the data obtained from available sources. Also, neither conflict of interest nor signs of illegal enrichment have been revealed," NACP said on its official website.

Read alsoPM Groysman: No obligatory assets declaration for general public in mid-term outlookAccording to the agency, Poroshenko complied with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption" when compiling and submitting declarations for 2015 and 2016 as a person authorized to perform functions of the state or local government.

The agency says that its comprehensive verification of the declarations involved the use of information obtained from the National Automated Information System of the State Automobile Inspectorate's Department, the State Vessel Register of Ukraine, the State Register of Real Estate Rights, the State Mortgage Register, the State Register of Bans on Real Estate Sale, the State Register of Civil Aircraft of Ukraine.

In addition, the agency used data from the State Land Cadastre, the State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and NGOs, the State Register of Individual Taxpayers, and the Ukrainian Patent Register.

Other documents sent by state agencies at NACP's request were also utilized.

However, the State Fiscal Service and its Main Directorate in Kyiv refused to provide information about incomes received by the declarant and members of his family for the period from 1998 to 2014.

The National Police's department of preventive work also declined to respond to NACP's inquiry.
