Ukraine’s agrarian SOEs report UAH 313 mln profit in 1H 2017

Ukrainian agrarian state-owned enterprises in the first six months of 2017 received UAH 313.13 of net profit against UAH 65.47 million of net loss in the same period last year, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported.

In the first half of the year, 39 Ukrainian agrarian SOEs received profits, according to the report.

The largest profitability indicators were reported at the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine (UAH 297.5 million), Artemsol (UAH 73 million), and the Agrarian Fund (UAH 70 million).

The press service added that, at the same time, 69 SOEs in the agrarian sector saw losses.

The biggest loss was reported at "Khlib Ukrainy" [Bread of Ukraine] (UAH 29 million), SE Ukrspirt (UAH 26.7 million), and Ukrspirt Concern (UAH 15.6 million).

According to the State Statistics Service, the costs of agricultural production in Ukraine in 2016 increased by 13.5% compared to 2015.
