Cost of agricultural production in Ukraine up by 23%

The expenses for agricultural production in Ukraine in January-July 2017 increased by 23.2% compared to the same period in 2016, as reported by the State Statistics Service.

At the same time, expenses for the production of plant products in the reporting period increased by 24.8%, and animal products - by 18.9%.

In July, as compared to June, the costs of agricultural production increased by 1.5%. In particular, the total expenditure on crop production in July increased by 1.2%, and livestock production - by 2.2%.

According to the report, the costs of material and technical resources of industrial origin used in agricultural production in the seven months of this year increased by 28% compared to the same period last year.

The data are provided without taking into account the occupied territory of Crimea and part of the zone of the Anti-Terrorist Operation.

As UNIAN reported earlier citing the statistics agency, the cost of agricultural production in Ukraine in 2016 compared to 2015 increased by 13.5%.
