Economy Ministry names Ukraine’s major donors

Ukraine in the first half of 2017 implemented 415 international technical assistance projects worth a total of US $5.32 billion, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade reported.

The major donors of technical assistance remained the U.S. with 104 projects worth $1.5 billion, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development with 39 projects at $671.1 million, and the European Union with 139 projects worth a total of $326.5 million, according to the ministry.

It is also reported that 21% of financing has been allocated for the national security and defense sector, 21% - for nuclear security (excluding the Chornobyl Fund).

The state budget of Ukraine for 2017 assumes the ceiling of public and government-guaranteed debt by year-end at UAH 2,296 trillion.
