Italy's Ernest Airlines to launch flights to Ukraine this year

Italy's Ernest Airlines has announced it will launch flights from Kyiv's Zhuliany airport to Bergamo and Naples, as well as from Lviv's airport to Bergamo, Venice and Naples as early as this year, according to the aviation news portal avianews.com.

Flights from Kyiv to Bergamo will start from December 4, and those to Naples from December 9 and will be performed twice a week on Mondays and Saturdays. During the New Year holidays, the airline will temporarily add a third flight on Wednesdays, avianews.com said.

Tickets for the new flights are already on sale on the airline's website at a price of 50 euros one way or 100 euros two ways. The price includes the transportation of hand luggage weighing up to 10 kg and with 55x35x25 cm in size.

If the weight of the luggage is 15-20 kg, the price will be 14 euro; and transportation of a suitcase weighing 20-25 kg will cost 19 euros if paid in advance. If payment for luggage is on the spot at the airport, the airline will charge an increased fee.

Ernest Airlines is a small airline with Albanian roots and a fleet of two A320 and A319 aircraft. At the moment, the airline operates flights from the capital of Albania, Tirana, to several Italian cities.
