Ukraine boasts gas reserves at 15 bcm

Natural gas reserves in Ukraine’s underground gas storages (USFs) from August 26 to September 2 increased by 2.5%, or by 371 million cubic meters, from 14,578 billion cubic meters to 14.949 bcm, according to Ukrtransgaz, the state-owned operator of the country’s gas transmission system.

The daily volume of gas injection into USFs as of September 2 stood at about 52.55 million cubic meters, Ukrtransgaz says.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Ihor Nasalyk announced plans for the accumulation of 17 bcm of gas in Ukraine’s USFs by October 1, 2017, to provide for the 2017-2018 heating season.
