Local budgets' revenue grows by 29% year to date

Ukrainian Minister for Regional Development, Construction, and Housing, Deputy Prime Minister Hennady Zubko has said that, thanks to Ukraine's decentralization reform, local budgets' revenue soared by 29% in January-August 2017 year-over-year (y-o-y), to UAH 124 billion.

"The local budgets' revenue was estimated at UAH 124 billion in January-August 2017, which was UAH 28 billion up y-o-y," Zubko said at a government meeting.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said local budgets in Ukraine in 2017 would grow by 25%, but local authorities can independently ensure that budget payments exceed even increased plans.
