Ukrposhta becomes licensed gas supplier

Ukraine's National Energy and Utilities Regulation Commission (NEURC) has issued a license to public joint-stock company (PJSC) Ukrposhta, allowing the company to supply natural gas.

"A license shall be issued granting PJSC Ukrposhta the right to conduct economic activities on the supply of gas on the territory of Ukraine," reads the decision taken at the NEURC’s meeting on Thursday, September 7.

This permit is necessary for the company to independently supply gas to its own branches and boiler houses during the heating season. The company's demand for gas for this period stands at 3.5 million cubic meters.

UNIAN memo. Ukrposhta is the national operator of postal services under the authority of the Infrastructure Ministry. The company offers more than 50 types of services through over 11,000 offices throughout Ukraine. The company employs about 76,000 people.

Ukrposhta annually processes and delivers over 240 million items of mail and 16 million parcels, handles 15 million money transfers and 83 million transactions on pensions.
