President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Wednesday held a meeting with First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund David Lipton, the president's press service reports.
The Head of State emphasized an extremely important role of the IMF in the implementation of reforms in Ukraine, the report reads.
The parties discussed the implementation of the education, healthcare and pension reforms. Petro Poroshenko noted the importance of creating an efficient system of fighting corruption in Ukraine.

David Lipton emphasized that Ukraine should take advantage of the positive improvements in the internal economy to complete the reforms and ensure sustainable growth. He also noted high dynamics of cooperation between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund.
