The State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU) is launching a pilot project for the privatization of small-sized state-run enterprises via ProZorro electronic platform, according to the Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry's press service.
"The Justice Ministry has registered a State Property Fund order to approve the procedure for a pilot project to sell small-scale privatization facilities via the ProZorro.Sales e-procurement system. This includes, among other things, the sale of non-residential and warehouse premises being on the balance sheet of small-sized state-owned enterprises, as well as property complexes, etc.," it said.
Auctions to sell the facilities will be conducted in keeping with the ProZorro.Sales rules. At the same time, the SPFU's general sales procedure will not change.
Read alsoProZorro saves $738.6 mln of budget funds – PM Groysman According to the current law on privatization, the objects of small-scale privatization include property of state-owned enterprises that can be singled out into independent business entities and where the average number of employees does not exceed 100 people, while gross revenue does not exceed UAH 70 million, or US$2.7 million, per year.
In addition, this category includes property together with state-owned land plots where it is located, as well as objects of unfinished construction, mothballed objects, as well as social and cultural facilities, except for those that are not subject to privatization.
Property complexes of boarding houses and recreation centers, used cars, tower cranes, non-residential buildings, storage facilities are also on the list of the facilities that will be put up for sale.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers in early May 2017 approved a pilot project for small-scale privatization via the ProZorro e-platform. In late May 2017, the State Property Fund and the Economic Development Ministry selected the first 90 objects for small-scale privatization via ProZorro.
