The Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry has initiated a review of the terms of the EU-Ukraine deep and comprehensive free trade area toward its expansion, including the revision of issues of a customs union and additional mechanisms, according to the ministry's website.
"It is already clear that the terms of free trade need to be reviewed. Negotiations on the creation of the free trade area with the European Union completed long ago. Today, the conditions for access of goods to the Ukraine-EU market are 'out of date'," said Ukraine's Trade Envoy Nataliya Mykolska.

"It is important that right now we are looking at free trade in three dimensions: free trade, investment, and extra tools. We can mention the industrial dialogue with the EU among the tools that are already working. We are completing the accession to the PanEuroMed Convention. We also actively conduct trade missions with Ukrainian exporters to the EU, which opens up additional opportunities for the free trade," Mykolska said.
