PM Groysman: Launch of Energy Efficiency Fund starts energy efficiency reform

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman claims the launch of the Energy Efficiency Fund operation, which will finance projects to reduce energy consumption next year, is only the beginning of a systemic reform aimed at increasing the level of energy efficiency across Ukraine.

"The State Energy Efficiency Fund will operate starting next year ... This is only the beginning of creating a system platform for introducing high-quality energy efficiency ... We will increase resources to make Ukraine energy efficient so that people see their homes warm and cosy, while paying a moderate price for [utility] services," he said.

The German government and the European Commission will provide part of the funds.
