Ukraine cuts coal consumption by almost 12%

Ukraine in August 2017 reduced the consumption of hard coal by 11.7%, to 3.93 million tonnes, compared with the same period last year, as reported by the State Statistics Service.

It is also reported that, compared to July this year, coal consumption in August rose by 9.2%.

As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, Ukraine in 2016 compared with 2015 increased coal consumption by 9.4%, up to 31.3 million tonnes.
