The balance of Ukraine’s foreign trade in goods and services in January-August 2017 was reduced to a deficit of $3.631 billion, which is 9.4% above the deficit in January-August 2016 at $3.318 billion, reads the report by the National Bank of Ukraine.
The deficit of foreign trade in goods for January-August compared to the same period of the previous year increased by 27.2%, to $5.166 billion, according to the NBU website. Trade in services has doubled to $1.535 billion.
In August the foreign trade deficit amounted to $565 million, including the deficit of trade in goods at $874 million and surplus of trade in services at $309 million.

At the same time, according to the data released by the NBU, the balance of foreign trade in goods and services following the results of 2016 is reduced to a deficit of $5.581 billion.
