Ukraine saw UAH 38.470 billion in the surplus of the national budget in January-August 2017 against UAH 42.936 billion in the deficit for the same period of the previous year, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
Revenue of the Ukrainian budget over the eight months of 2017 amounted to UAH 527.589 billion, while expenses totaled UAH 489.077 billion.
The consolidated budget of Ukraine, which consists of the national and regional budgets, in January-August 2017 was fulfilled with a surplus of UAH 68.645 billion against UAH 11.288 billion in the same period of 2016.

As UNIAN reported, the budget deficit of Ukraine in 2016 amounted to UAH 70.130 billion, or 2.9% of GDP.
The state budget of Ukraine for 2017 foresees UAH 771 billion in revenues and UAH 841 billion in expenses, the deficit is limited to UAH 77.5 billion, or 3% of GDP.
