In January-September 2017 Ukraine reduced gas consumption by 0.5%, down to 19 billion cubic meters, compared with the same period last year, as reported by the press service of Ukrtransgaz, the operator of Ukraine's gas transmission system.
"Gas consumption did not increase. To be more precise, over the three quarters of 2017, there was a decrease in gas consumption by 0.5% compared to 2016," it was reported.
It is noted that as of October 2, some 16.4 bcm of gas was accumulated in Ukraine's underground storage facilities.
