Unsold state-owned stakes of 3 energy companies put up for another auction

The State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) has launched a new procedure for privatizing 25% of the state stakes of Odesaoblenergo, Sumyoblenergo and Donbasenergo, which were not sold due to the lack of bids, according to Acting Head of the State Property Fund Vitaliy Trubarov.

"I signed orders to provide for the sale of a 25% stake in Odesaoblenergo, Sumyoblenergo and Donbasenergo," Trubarov wrote on Facebook.

According to him, a reassessment of assets will be carried out for the sale of said stakes.

"The validity of a preliminary assessment of the value of assets has already expired, we will carry out a reassessment in a short time and we will take a decision to issue these stakes for auction," he said.

Read alsoUkraine sells its stake in DTEK Dniprooblenergo for US$39 mln to tycoon AkhmetovAs UNIAN reported, the SPF earlier announced that it would sell 25% of state stakes in eight energy companies in the middle of August: Odesaoblenergo, Donetskoblenergo, Donbasenergo, Sumyoblenergo, DTEK Dniproenergo, DTEK Dniprooblenergo, DTEK Zakhidenergo, and Kyivenergo.

The sale of Odesaoblenergo, Sumyoblenergo, and Donbasenergo failed due to the lack of bids.

The SPF sold a 25% stake in Donetskoblenergo on August 16 and a 25% stake in Kyivenergo and DTEK Zakhidenergo on August 18. All the assets were acquired by Ornex.
