"Nationalized" enterprises in occupied Crimea set for privatization

The Kremlin-controlled Crimean "authorities" have ordered "nationalized" enterprises Krymkhleb, Simferopol Grain Products Plant, Krymtelecom, Krymtekhnologii and Tavrida publishing house to draft before year-end a package of papers required for a privatization procedure, Krym.Realii reported with reference to the press service of the Kremlin-controlled Ministry of Property of Crimea.

"It is necessary to register before the end of this year all title papers for real estate assets used by each of these enterprises," the agency quoted Russian "minister" of property and land relations of Crimea Anna Anyukhina.

According to the so-called ministry, during the privatization of the enterprises, "an inventory of all property will be carried out, as well as all title documents for real estate and land used by them will be registered."

"Thus, enterprises will receive a full set of documents that allow them to legally own and use their own property complexes," the report says.

The Crimean parliament at the session on September 20 included in the forecast privatization plan the sale of 100% of the shares of the Novy Svet champagne factory, Krymkhleb, and Krymtelecom.

In March 2014, some 480 enterprises and organizations were "nationalized" in the annexed Crimea. Ukraine filed suits with international courts, where it claims monetary compensation and seizure of Russian foreign property.
