Ukraine to buy tactical military radios, communications equipment from Turkey

Ukraine will buy tactical military radios and communications equipment from the Republic of Turkey under the contract signed between Turkish-based ASELSAN and Ukrainian State Foreign Trade Enterprise SpetsTechnoExport, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

Relevant documents were signed after the sixth session of the High-Level Strategic Council chaired by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Kyiv on October 10.

In particular, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASELSAN Ibrahim Ozkol and Acting Director of the Ukrainian SFTE SpetsTechnoExport Vladyslav Belbas signed a contract for the purchase of tactical military radios and communications equipment.

As UNIAN reported earlier, State Joint-Stock Holding Company Artem and SFTE SpetsTechnoExport that are part of Ukroboronprom will cooperate with the Turkish Machine and Chemical Industry Corporation MKEK (Makina ve Kimya Endustrisi Kurumu) under an ammunition production program.
