A second batch of 60,000 tonnes of coal from the United States was on October 12 delivered by the Victoria vessel to the state-run Yuzhny ("Southern") Sea Commercial Port in Odesa region for one of Ukraine's major power generating companies PJSC Centrenergo, according to the port's press service.
The first batch with anthracite from the U.S. arrived in Ukraine aboard the Ocean Ambitious bulk carrier on September 13. Some 62,000 tonnes of coal was unloaded within less than two days and supplied to Centrenergo's thermal power stations in 875 wagons within 21 days.

"In October, the company plans to upload two more bulkers with over 200,000 tonnes of anthracite. Reloading equipment and production facilities work smoothly. I am sure that nothing will prevent us from operating effectively in future," the press service quoted Zhukovsky as saying.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Yuzhny on October 4 completed the shipping of the first batch of American coal for Centrenergo, delivered to Ukraine by the Ocean Ambitious on September 13. The second vessel was expected to arrive on October 10.
At the end of July, one of the largest energy generating companies, Centrenergo, signed off a contract with the U.S.-based XCoal Energy & Resources to supply 700,000 tonnes of anthracite to Ukraine until the end of 2017.
