The National Bank of Ukraine on Wednesday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by 6 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 26.42 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for October 19:
US$100 costs UAH 2,642.5466 (on October 18, it was UAH 2,648.4328);
EUR 100 costs UAH 3,104.7280 (on October 18, it was UAH 3,114.2921);
10 RUB costs UAH 4.6140 (on October 18, it was UAH 4.6189).

Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 31.08/31.10, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4602/0.4611.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 26.4255 to the dollar, with 576 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $360.94 million.
