Kyiv court rules to seize Gazprom's property, funds worth UAH 171 bln

The Kyiv Economic Court has granted the petition of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) and the State Executive Service, allowing to recover from the Russian gas monopoly Gazprom funds in its accounts and property after the company had been fined by the AMCU for violating Ukraine's competitive legislation to the tune of UAH 171 billion, according to Ukrainian Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko.

"The Economic Court of Kyiv has granted the petition of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and the Executive Service of the Ministry of Justice and changed the order of execution of the court decision regarding the recovery of a UAH 171 billion fine from Gazprom," he wrote on Facebook.

According to the minister, the court decision will be made public in a few days.
