The National Bank of Ukraine on Thursday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by 7 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 26.49 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for October 20:
$100 costs UAH 2,649.9950 (on October 19, it was UAH 2,642.5466);
EUR 100 costs UAH 3,136.0041 (on October 19, it was UAH 3,104.7280);
10 RUB costs UAH 4.6030 (on October 19, it was UAH 4.6140).
On Thursday, October 19, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 26.49/26.51 to the dollar by the close of trade.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 31.37/31.40, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4602/0.4611.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 26.50 to the dollar, with 600 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $345.16 million.
