Ukraine's fiscal service boasts of almost full digitalization of customs declarations

Ukraine's State Fiscal Service has reported that 98% of customs declarations as of October 1, 2017, were in electronic form, according to the service's press center.

From January 1 to October 15, 2017, it processed 2.6 million customs declarations, which was 16.7% up on the same period last year, it said.

Under the Customs Code of Ukraine, customs clearance should be completed within four working hours (240 minutes) since the arrival of commodities or commercial vehicles subject to customs registration if all necessary documents and related information are available.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian customs transferred UAH 223.6 billion (US$8.4 billion) to the national budget in January-September 2017, which was 10.8% up on the plans for the respective period. The sum was 34%, or UAH 56.7 billion, up on the same period of 2016.
