VIP debtors: Journalists reveal MPs, Kyiv mayor don't pay for utilities (Video)

Investigative journalists from the Groshi TV program have tried to determine the biggest VIP debtors, the country's politicians, who have not paid for utilities on time.

Ukrainian MP from the Opposition Bloc parliamentary faction Nestor Shufrych, who included four luxury cars and several antique collections in his annual declaration of assets, owed UAH 2,500 ($94) for the utilities of his three apartments.

Ukrainian MP, Rector of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts Mykhailo Poplavsky's utilities debt has grown to UAH 6,500 ($244).

Chairman of the said committee Serhiy Skuratovsky is unable to pay UAH 1,000 ($37) for maintenance of his house's adjacent areas.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has also won the "debtor's belt" for owing UAH 5,000 ($187) for utilities services in his elite square meters downtown Kyiv, though he claims it is untrue.
