Ukraine reports $1.6 bln in foreign direct investment in nine months

The net inflow of foreign direct investment in Ukraine in January-September 2017 totaled US$1.6 billion, which was 40% up from $1.15 billion year-over-year (y-o-y), according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

As reported, the net inflow of foreign direct investment in September 2017 alone was estimated at $0.2 billion, while over 80% of this figure were channeled into the real sector.

During this period, non-resident shareholders' equity received $711 million in new investment, while disinvestment amounted to $207 million. The positive reassessment was estimated at $1.153 billion, according to the State Statistics Service.
