AOT Energy Ukraine, a subsidiary of the Swiss-based global energy trading company AOT Energy, has acquired a license as a natural gas trader, according to the Ukrainian online newspaper Ukrayinska Pravda.
"The relevant decision was taken at a meeting of the National Energy and Utility Regulation Commission. The license allows the company to directly supply gas to end-users in Ukraine," Ukrayinska Pravda reports.
AOT Energy Ukraine LLC was established in Kyiv on July 14 with UAH 1.5 million (US$56,476) in charter capital. It is wholly owned by Swiss-based AOT Gas Holding AG. Oleksandr Marchenko is CEO of the Ukrainian subsidiary.
"Gas trading is AOT Energy Ukraine's declared core business. In addition, the company may be engaged in wholesale trade in other types of fuel, as well as ancillary services related to oil and gas production," the publication wrote.

As was reported, such international energy traders as Trafigura, MET Holding, and DufEnergy had already opened their representative offices in Ukraine.

The company has eight offices located in Europe, Asia and North America. In 2016, AOT Energy sold products worth $11.5 billion.
