PM Groysman sure Ukraine to pass 2017-2018 heating season safely

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says Ukraine has accumulated sufficient reserves of energy resources to pass the 2017-2018 heating season perfectly normal.

"As for the heating season, I'd like to tell you that my team and I are accustomed to working in 'force majeure' and extreme circumstances. Therefore, I want to assure all Ukrainians that we will pass this winter [heating season] perfectly," he said in the parliament November 17, adding that the energy resources stocks, including natural gas, are at an appropriate level.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine launched the 2017-2018 heating season on October 15. Prior to its start, Ukrainian Minister for Regional Development, Construction, and Housing and Deputy Prime Minister Hennady Zubko said that the country has been fully prepared for the heating season. Ukraine had accumulated nearly 16.8 billion cubic meters of gas in the underground storage facilities by the beginning of the season against 14.7 billion cubic meters as of the start of the previous one.
