State Concern UkrOboronProm is preparing for a scheduled testing the new 80K6T 3D-radar, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko wrote on Facebook.
"The radar can detect aerial targets at a distance of up to 500 km, updating data every 5 seconds, and track targets with high accuracy," the head of state wrote.
According to Poroshenko, 80K6T’s powerful capabilities allow for its use by all anti-aircraft missile systems that are currently in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as an information link in the Air Force units.

At the same time, a single station can simultaneously measure the target’s position using three coordinates at once: range, azimuth, and height, ie, a 3D model is created, while previously two stations were required to this end, according to Ukrmilitary.com.
Besides, a special system of signal processing allows detecting small-sized and cruise missiles at low altitudes with terrain following.
