Ukraine's consolidated budget in January-October 2017 saw a surplus of UAH 31.2 billion (US$1.2 billion) against a deficit of UAH 26.866 billion ($1 billion) year-over-year (y-o-y), according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
Revenue of the consolidated budget over the period under review was estimated at UAH 824.189 billion ($30.7 billion), whereas expenditures stood at UAH 792.927 billion ($29.5 billion), it said.
Surplus of the state budget in the 10 months of 2017 was estimated at UAH 1.4 billion ($52.1 million) against a deficit of UAH 60.3 billion ($2.2 billion) y-o-y.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine posted a budget deficit in 2016, which amounted to UAH 70.130 billion, or 2.9% of GDP.
Ukraine's national budget for 2017, taking into account adjustments, foresees revenues at UAH 771 billion and spending at UAH 841 billion. A threshold deficit level is placed at UAH 77.5 billion, which is also 3% of GDP.
