Poroshenko: Local budget revenue to reach $6.3 bln in 2017

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko says that the revenue of the local budget in Ukraine is expected to reach UAH 171 billion (US$6.3 billion) by the end of 2017, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

"[Ukraine's] local budget earnings are expected to grow to UAH 171 billion by the end of this year," he said at the 2nd Ukrainian Forum of United Citizens "Initiatives that Change Life" held in Kyiv on December 4.

The president noted that in the middle of the last decade, the share of the local budgets together with transfers in the consolidated budget was less than 30%.

"In 2015, this figure [the share of the local budgets in the consolidated budget] amid the first steps of decentralization was already 45%. This year, we have quickly approached 50%, the exact figure is 49.3%," the head of state added.
