Ukraine's state budget 2018 envisages $1.8 mln to support innovation – PM Groysman

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says the country's Innovation Support Fund will total UAH 50 million (US$1.8 million) in 2018.

"We are creating the budget's Innovation Support Fund, which will amount to UAH 50 million, as we want to support all innovative solutions being generated by Ukrainians now," he said a Kyiv meeting with regional media on December 11.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Groysman advocates the creation of a major fund to support Ukrainian start-ups.

Ukraine concluded about 80 investment agreements worth UAH 88 million ($3.2 million) with innovative companies in 2016. The contracts signed over the past five years are estimated at more than $400 million.
