Ukraine sees agriculture output decline in 11 months

Ukraine's agricultural production dropped by 2.8% in January-November 2017 year-over-year (y-o-y), according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service.

In particular, agricultural enterprises reduced production by 4.7% over the period under review, while private farmers saw their output shrink by 0.5%.

At the same time, livestock production decreased by 0.3% over the period under review. In particular, livestock output at private farms declined by 1.1%, while agricultural enterprises saw a 0.8% increase in their production.

The data is given in comparable prices of the year 2010, it does not include reports from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as well as the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone in the country's east, the service said in a statement.

As UNIAN reported earlier, agricultural production in Ukraine grew by 6.1% in 2016 against 2015. In particular, agricultural enterprises boosted output by 9.8% in 2016 from 2015, while private farmers' output rose by 1.5%, according to the State Statistics Service.
